Fitzroy Doncaster Cricket Club has a new home online. Our new website at fitzroydoncastercc.com.au is built and run on Morrie, a platform made by cricket people for community cricket clubs, and it's already changing how we run the club.

Why we moved to Morrie

Like every community club, we're run by volunteers. Keeping a website, socials, sponsors and members up to date used to mean hours of copying the same information into different places. Morrie brings it all together in one system, and most of it now looks after itself.

Always up to date, without the late nights

• Fixtures, results and ladders update themselves for every grade.
• Live scores on match day, with a match centre for every game: scorecards, form guides and our history against each opponent.
• Round previews and match reports go up as news by themselves, with each grade's team and live stream filled in as they come through.
• One link in every social bio that always shows the next game, the latest news and how to get involved.

What Morrie does in the background

Most of what you see on the site happens without anyone pressing a button:

• Scorecards in, stats updated. Once a game finishes, Morrie reads the official scorecard and updates every player's figures, their profile, the club's record book and the ladder.
• Scouting the opposition. Every night it reads finished games across the competition, so our round previews show the opposition's form and their players to watch, not just their games against us.
• Previews that keep themselves right. After each weekend's games come in, the coming week's previews are refreshed with the latest figures.
• Milestones spotted early. It keeps an eye on players closing in on career milestones so we can celebrate them on the day.
• Match day cards. Result cards, team sheets and player-of-the-round graphics are made from the scorecard in our colours, ready for our socials.
• Best & fairest votes. Vote links go out after each game and the tally keeps itself.
• Only official figures. Anything published uses figures from the official scorecard or the ball-by-ball, so what you read is right.

Fantasy league

Our club fantasy league is back for 2026-27, and it's run entirely through Morrie. Pick a side from our own players, back your judgement with the captain's armband and make trades as the season goes on. Points come straight from the official scorecards every round, so the ladder updates itself after each weekend, and a fantasy wrap goes up on our news page with the top coaches, biggest movers and the round's best XI.

Looking the part

The site is in our maroon and gold, built for phones first, and designed to look as professional as the club we are on and off the field. Every player has a profile, every game has its page, and every sponsor is presented properly.

• Every sponsor has their own page on our website, with their offer for members and their business details.
• Player sponsorships put a sponsor's name on a player's profile all season.
